Richard Adams qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and joined Starke & Co as a Senior Associate in April 2020, having previously worked for firms in Central London and in Sussex. He is a Solicitor, Collaborative Lawyer and Mediator.
Richard specialises in all areas of family law, advising clients on separation or divorce on issues relating to children and financial arrangements. He also advises clients in relation to pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements. He also has a particular specialism in the issues facing LGBT clients, including advising arrangements for family formations by non-traditional means such as surrogacy and co-parenting.
Richard is accredited by Resolution in Complex Financial and Property Matters and is committed to finding solutions for clients in a non-adversarial and constructive way. He is also a member of the Resolution Cohabitation Committee, which seeks to raise awareness of and obtain reform to the law affecting couples who live together and their families.
Outside of the office, Richard enjoys live music, theatre and walking in the Sussex countryside.
